Fourteen nomination films in which the internet is a source of light.
Ceremony identity for the 18th Runet Prize, the main award of the Russian-language internet industry. Each year it goes to the most notable websites, apps and companies.
Together with the organizers at RAEC we built the whole ceremony around one idea: the internet as a source of light. Light shows you the landmarks and helps you find your way to an idea. We made 14 opening films for the nominations — from gaming and esports to science, medicine, education and culture. Each one is a short adventure with its own storyline and the same hero: the light itself.
Every nomination got its own neon symbol and its own world — red desert, ice, clouds, a night lake — so each film was designed separately. Before production we wrote a storyline and made styleframes for every nomination, then moved into 3D. The ceremony was streamed live on YouTube.
